katie towers

Katie Towers is an independent artist whose practice spans diverse creative disciplines, from textile-based sculpture to digital photography. Based in Portland, Oregon, Towers has explored the intersection of sport and domesticity through mixed-media works, utilizing woven fabrics and found materials to build tactile, three-dimensional forms. Her background in illustration and fine arts informs a versatile approach to making, whether working with physical objects or digital frames. In her photographic work, Towers focuses on the quiet details of the natural world. Based in Cambridgeshire, UK, she specializes in landscape and floral subjects, often stripping away complexity to find minimalist compositions. By emphasizing natural abstracts and photorealistic textures, she captures the subtle geometry of plants and the open atmosphere of the countryside.
