Robert Richter

Born in Görlitz in 1985, and since 2003 pursued creative work in Dresden: my name is Robert Richter, and I’m a 33-year-old trained Graphic Artist. I started my career in a print and web-design agency when I was 18. For the last ten years, I’ve preferred working with teams, which has landed me in a variety of projects for diverse industrial customers, as well as other companies. Throughout the years, my perspective has, however, developed in another direction. While I’ve remained true to the creative scene, I’ve also returned to the roots of my youth and built on my re-awakened passion: illustration and free-design. After all, street art and graffiti have always been at the top of my list. The focus of my work often deals with the confluence of nature and technology. I enjoy manipulating everyday scenarios, recasting them in a completely new light, thus giving life to unusual, fairy-tale-like illustrations. With my passion for fine-tuned detail, I am able to present extra-ordinary worlds with subtle depth and delicate messages. The medium doesn’t matter: digital, paint-brush, or with a can. Anything that looks like it can use a fresh coat inspires me with new project ideas. The input is endless. In addition to traditional illustrations on paper, some projects are created with a variety of textiles. My original works are presented regularly at exhibitions, and thus far I have worked for iriedaily, IKEA and the Fusion Festival.
