In this digital composition, Emiliano Deificus strips away the noise of the traditional map to reveal the skeletal beauty of Albuquerque. The city’s layout is reimagined through a bold, golden palette, where streets and boundaries become intricate textures rather than just navigational data. By isolating the city skyline and its surrounding topography, the artist emphasizes the unique shape of the land, turning a familiar travel destination into a high-contrast graphic icon.

The work functions as both a portrait of a place and an exercise in restraint. The portrait orientation focuses the viewer’s eye on the density of the urban center, while the minimalist background allows the golden linework to vibrate with a sense of warmth and importance. It is a piece that speaks to the way we carry cities with us—not as literal photographs, but as sharp, glowing memories of a specific horizon.
