Art Analysis
Stacked blocks of geometric shapes
This work builds on the artist's geometric modern abstract pattern by filling a square frame with a variety of rectangular blocks. These blocks vary in size and orientation, with some standing tall and others lying flat to create a full grid across the surface. Within these sections, circles, semicircles, squares, and lines fit together to form a dense collection of shapes. The arrangement uses a bright selection of orange, pink, lime green, yellow, and white.
The eye moves across the surface following the different directions of the internal lines. Some blocks contain thin vertical stripes, while others hold rounded semicircles or solid squares. Small circles are tucked into corners or centered within larger rectangles, creating a sense of variety in scale. The white elements act as a bright contrast against the more colorful lime and orange sections, highlighting the boundaries where each geometric block meets the next.
