In this portrait-oriented study, Khokhar explores the interplay of light and liquid, capturing the deep pigments and translucent textures of a traditional Spanish sangria. The arrangement emphasizes the organic shapes of citrus and fruit submerged in wine, creating a visual rhythm that mimics the slow, deliberate pace of a summer gathering. Every element is rendered with a focus on clarity and color, allowing the simple ingredients to take on a sculptural quality.

The vertical composition draws the eye through the layers of the drink, highlighting the condensation and the vibrant contrast between the dark liquid and the bright fruit slices. By isolating the subject against a focused backdrop, the artist directs all attention to the tactile details of the glass and its contents. It is an honest celebration of a cultural staple, presented with a directness that honors the ingredients and the atmosphere they evoke.
