About the matt

A bright white, conservation grade, FSC certified, 100% acid free matt, that will not discolour or fade with age. Matt depth is 1.4mm.

Borders & Matting

Choose from three distinct display options:

Full Bleed

A “Full Bleed” reproduction simply means printing the artwork all the way to the edge. A contemporary display option that works on its own or as part of an eclectic gallery wall.

White Border

A small, white border frames the artwork for a “faux-matted” look. White border width is 2cm - 6.5cm (approx 1" to 2.5") depending on artwork size.

Matted

The artwork is matted using a custom cut, 1.4mm bright white, conservation grade, FSC certified, 100% acid free matt, that will not discolour or fade with age. Perfect for framing smaller artworks.

Choose between two paper types:

Smooth Fine Art Paper

A high-quality, smooth matt fine art paper with a light, fine-grain surface texture.

Hahnemuhle German Etching

A heavy-duty paper with a velvety matt surface. In contrast to the Smooth Fine Art Paper, it has a warm white hue and a more textured finish.

PRINT

A premium, heavyweight fine art print featuring a smooth, clean finish. This museum-quality paper is extremely consistent and works equally with full colour graphics as well as monochrome tones. The matte finish emphasises different highlights and tones in the source artworks; helping to create stunning works of art.

ABOUT

Since 2013 we have been supplying art to awesome brands such as Made, Wayfair, Amara and Rockett St George to name a few, not to mention countless interior design and trade professionals. Then in 2017 we decided to build our own branded marketplace (why let everyone else have all the fun, right?), fast forward a year and arthaus was born.

We built arthaus to let anyone sell their art as beautiful prints and framed pieces. Today we are over 1000 artists strong and counting.

Unlike other art stores, our artists choose how much they make per sale, we simply handle all the printing and framing on their behalf.

Therefore when you purchase a print from arthaus you are directly supporting an independent creative.

Each artwork is made to order (avoiding waste) and thanks to our global network of fulfilment partners, is shipped from locations in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia, for fast worldwide shipping.

To this day arthaus remains entirely independent and self funded. Despite several investment offers we are determined to stay independent for as long as possible.
