Art Analysis
Intersecting grids and geometric clusters
This square composition is built from a dense network of horizontal and vertical lines that create a grid across the entire surface. Within these compartments, geometric shapes like triangles, circles, and squares overlap and intersect. The arrangement is flat, filling the space from edge to edge with a mix of pink, purple, yellow, and green. Large rectangles and triangles occupy the middle and right-hand areas, while smaller shapes are tucked into the corners and narrow lanes of the grid.
The eye moves across rows of small circles and squares that repeat in clusters. White appears in the background and inside some of the larger shapes, providing a break between the colorful sections. The lines act as a framework, holding the various sizes of shapes in place and dividing the image into many smaller, distinct scenes. Every part of the surface is occupied by these sharp-edged forms, creating a busy and detailed pattern.
