In this digital composition, Carla Daly replaces traditional cartography with a bright, cartoon-inspired vision of the world. Each landmass serves as a stage for various animals, creating a sense of global interconnectedness through friendly, stylized forms. The use of a landscape orientation allows the viewer to wander across the oceans and plains, discovering small details that make the vast scale of a world map feel intimate and approachable.

The palette is intentionally bold, using saturated colors to distinguish regions while maintaining a cohesive, joyful energy. By blending the educational structure of a map with the whimsical language of digital illustration, the piece speaks to a sense of wonder regarding travel and the natural world. It is a functional piece of art that prioritizes a sense of discovery and lighthearted exploration.
