In this piece, Hearn explores the intersection of the infinite and the individual. The vertical orientation emphasizes a sense of ascension and depth, pulling the gaze upward through a structured portal that frames a cosmic expanse. The composition suggests a narrative of discovery, where the wanderer serves as a scale for the immense architecture of the universe, turning a cold void into a place of active exploration.

The interplay of light and shadow within the portal creates a tactile sense of boundary, marking the line between the familiar and the unexplored. By focusing on the solitary figure against the grandeur of a stellar backdrop, the work captures a quiet, contemplative mood. It invites a reflection on our own place within larger systems, rendered through a lens that feels both intimate and expansive.
