In this digital illustration, Lynnda Rakos employs a vibrant interplay of graphic patterns to surround and support the central subject. The composition relies on a portrait orientation that emphasizes the stature of the woman, while the inclusion of quotes adds a layer of literal and symbolic depth to the visual narrative. Each line and shape feels intentional, constructing a space where text and image coexist to honor personal and collective history.

By blending traditional portraiture with modern digital techniques, the artist creates a rhythmic texture throughout the background. The patterns act as a visual heartbeat, echoing the sentiment of the integrated quotes. This approach moves beyond simple representation, using the tools of graphic design to build an environment that feels both grounded in cultural roots and forward-looking in its execution.
