Art Analysis
The Rhythmic Pulse of Interlocking Geometric Angles
In this portrait-oriented composition, Valle explores the power of the chevron as a foundational unit of design. The repetition of V-shaped forms creates a visual cadence that feels both architectural and kinetic, drawing strength from the way each segment nests into the next. The vertical alignment emphasizes the upward energy of the patterns, turning a simple geometric exercise into a study of direction and flow.
By focusing on the intersection of clean lines and specific color blocks, the artist strips away the superfluous to highlight the inherent beauty of symmetry. The work relies on the tension between the flat planes of color and the sharp points of the chevrons, resulting in a balanced arrangement that feels grounded yet full of internal movement.
By repeating and rotating the same graphic element eleven times, the composition achieves a sense of motion and structural harmony.
The work uses non-representational shapes to build a balanced composition that prioritizes form and color over literal imagery.
The portrait format dictates a specific flow of energy, forcing the eye to travel across stacked abstract elements.
