In this portrait-oriented work, the artist explores the intersection of physical movement and quiet interiority. The vertical frame mirrors the upward reach of the subject, creating a sense of momentum that draws the eye from the base of the figure toward the destination of the fingertips. It is a study of a private ritual, stripped of distraction to focus on the weight and balance of a body in motion.

By isolating this specific gesture, Flow Line highlights the tactile nature of reading and the physical space books occupy in our lives. The piece avoids grand spectacle, opting instead for a grounded observation of how we interact with our surroundings when we believe no one is watching. The resulting image feels both intimate and purposeful, anchored by the steady geometry of the shelf and the fluid line of the reaching arm.
