Art Analysis
The textured pulse of the city captured in digital pastel
Sausa utilizes digital tools to mimic the tactile grit of street art murals, layering stark color contrasts to create a multifaceted presence on the canvas. The work moves beyond simple graphic design, inviting a viewer's perspective exploration into how urban graffiti art exploration can be distilled into a still life technique that feels both urgent and stationary.
Within the abstract concepts of the composition, there is a sense of reflective thought regarding environmental issues and political ideology. The piece functions as a contemplative safe space, using altered perception phenomena to turn the chaotic visual art forms of the city into a structured, portrait-oriented study of light and form.
A distinct grainy texture is applied to the flat color, grounding the digital precision in the grit of street-level aesthetics.
This work investigates the power of color relationships, using high-contrast pairings to create a sense of visual vibration and movement.
There is a meditative quality to the work, reflecting a slow and careful study of a single element of the natural landscape.
The abstract arrangement encourages the viewer to look past the surface and find new meanings in the overlapping shapes.
