In this portrait-oriented piece, the artist utilizes a restricted palette to evoke the heavy, golden light of a setting sun. The cattails are rendered as clean, deliberate shapes that anchor the foreground, their verticality providing a structured contrast to the soft, horizontal gradients of the sky. By stripping away extraneous detail, the work focuses on the graphic relationship between nature and light.

The composition draws its strength from a sense of stillness and balance. Each element is placed with intention, reflecting a digital approach that favors bold simplicity over complex texture. The result is a serene meditation on the natural world, where the familiar forms of a wetland are translated into a modern, illustrative language.
