In this piece, Ristova utilizes a bold checkered border to act as both a container and a contrast for the central floral subject. The grid-like perimeter provides a steady, rhythmic pulse that emphasizes the singular, hand-drawn quality of the flower, making the organic lines feel more deliberate and pronounced. By placing these two distinct visual languages in conversation, the work creates a sense of balanced order.

The portrait orientation focuses the viewer's attention on the upward growth of the botanical form, allowing the graphic elements to breathe within the vertical space. The simplicity of the motif, paired with the high-contrast border, results in a graphic clarity that feels grounded and direct. It is a study in how minimal shapes can define a space through repetition and silhouette.
