In this portrait-oriented illustration, Weise explores the iconic silhouette of the Helsinki Cathedral. The artist utilizes digital drawing techniques to emphasize the neoclassical geometry of the structure, focusing on the interplay between the massive central dome and the surrounding cityscape. By stripping away visual clutter, the work highlights the stark, rhythmic beauty of the architecture against the sky, functioning as both a technical study and a personal record of place.

The piece operates within the tradition of travel art, where the goal is to translate a physical location into a graphic memory. The clean lines and deliberate framing suggest a modern take on the architectural draft, favoring clarity and form. It is a quiet observation of urban space, inviting the viewer to appreciate the scale and symmetry of one of Northern Europe’s most recognizable landmarks through a refined, digital hand.
