Art Analysis
Interlocking marbled color masses
This square image contains a dense arrangement of irregular shapes that fill the entire frame from edge to edge. A large mass of red and pink dominates the center and the upper-left area, while smaller patches of green, purple, and blue sit around the outer edges. These various colored sections have jagged, marbled borders that cause the different tones to blend into one another without a single place for the eye to rest.
The composition uses a wide range of colors including orange, yellow, and black alongside the primary red and blue areas. Because the shapes overlap and interlock across the whole surface, the picture maintains a consistent level of detail throughout. The marbled edges create a sense of movement between the bright patches and the darker, deeper tones scattered within the central cluster.
