This portrait-oriented landscape utilizes a rich, tactile application of color to bridge the gap between traditional oil techniques and a modern, ethereal glow. The composition is anchored by the dark, vertical reach of pine trees, which stand in stark relief against a sky saturated with shimmering gold and deep jewel tones. A soft mist clings to the valley floor, illuminated by a lingering warmth on the horizon that suggests the transition of light at dawn or dusk.

By blending the heavy, physical strokes of impasto with a fluid sense of light, the artist creates a space that feels both grounded and infinite. The Milky Way is not merely a distant backdrop but a swirling, textured presence that fills the frame with a sense of quiet power. This work speaks to the intersection of astronomy and the natural world, offering a serene meditation on the vastness of the star-filled wilderness.
