In this modern still life, Ristova employs a minimal approach to illustration that prioritizes the negative space as much as the subject itself. The drawing focuses on the fluid silhouette of a floral arrangement, where each leaf and petal is defined by clean, confident strokes that suggest life without the need for heavy shading or color. It is a study in restraint, finding a sense of balance in the lean, vertical orientation of the composition.

The work functions as a bridge between traditional botanical studies and modern graphic art. By isolating the plant against a stark background, the artist emphasizes the architectural beauty of the natural world. The result is a portrait of a living thing that feels both grounded and light, inviting the viewer to notice the subtle curves and sharp angles that define a flower’s unique geometry.
