Art Analysis
A rhythmic study of geometric balance and vertical form
In this composition, Böhmer utilizes a structured approach to abstraction, layering distinct geometric entities to create a sense of architectural depth. The arrangement relies on the interaction between positive and negative space, allowing the eye to travel across the vertical plane and discover the subtle weight of each individual element.
By stripping away representational detail, the work emphasizes the raw beauty of proportion and alignment. The portrait format anchors the visual play, grounding the floating shapes and providing a clear framework for the artist’s exploration of minimalist geometry and spatial harmony.
The artwork replaces organic curves with a complex network of triangles and polygons to define the bird's anatomy.
The portrait orientation creates an intimate, narrow field of view that draws the viewer closer to the subject.
The deliberate placement of forms creates a balanced environment that feels stable and thoughtfully organized.
