In this portrait, Adiels utilizes digital tools to mimic the tactile depth of traditional painting, layering texture and light to define a subject that defies ordinary physics. The composition leans into the surrealist tradition, stripping away the mundane to reveal a figure caught in a moment of quiet, internal gravity. Every line serves to anchor the viewer in a space where the boundaries between the physical body and the imagined world begin to blur.

The vertical orientation emphasizes a sense of stature and presence, allowing the modern illustration techniques to shine through deliberate mark-making. By balancing the sharp clarity of digital art with the soft, atmospheric qualities of a painting, Adiels creates a visual language that feels intimate yet expansive. The result is a work that invites a slow, rhythmic observation of its intricate details and moody, surrealist undertones.
