Art Analysis
Interlocking crystalline patches
This square composition presents a dense arrangement of irregular shapes that fill the entire frame from a top-down perspective. A heavy, dark brown and black mass sits in the center, acting as an anchor for the surrounding patches. From this central area, jagged forms in various colors extend outward to all four edges, creating a surface that looks like a collection of crystals or mottled stone. There is no clear sense of depth, as every shape appears to sit on the same flat plane.
The arrangement relies on a contrast between warm and cool tones. Saturated reds, oranges, and yellows cluster in the upper and lower right sections, while patches of purple, blue, and green are scattered across the rest of the image. Dark forest green and black tones fill the gaps between these brighter sections and occupy the corners. The eye moves across the surface by following the sharp, interlocking lines where these different colored marks meet.
