In this landscape composition, Rakos focuses on the interplay between the structured lines of poolside architecture and the organic ripples of the water. The perspective emphasizes a wide, cinematic view that mimics the expansive feeling of a summer day spent under a bright sky. Every element is rendered with a focus on the crisp shadows and bold hues that define a luxury outdoor setting.

The work avoids clutter, instead leaning into the clean aesthetic of mid-century leisure. By balancing the stillness of the poolside furniture with the implied movement of the water, the artist creates a scene that feels both frozen in a moment of calm and alive with the heat of the season. It is an exploration of light as it hits flat surfaces and refracts through the blue depths of a private oasis.
