Art Analysis

Textual framing and gold stripes
This vertical composition uses black lettering and a single silhouette to fill a white background. The word LONDON stands on the far left, while WESTMINSTER balances it on the far right. Between these tall columns of text, the artist arranges the words BIG BEN, UK, ENGLAND, and Elizabeth Tower in the center. The clock tower itself stands to the right of these central words, creating a layout where the text and the graphic shape are grouped closely together.
The tower silhouette is solid black but is broken up by horizontal gold-colored stripes that have a textured appearance. These stripes provide the modern color accents mentioned by Melanie Viola. While the lettering is plain and black, the varying sizes of the words create a rhythmic pattern across the white space. The smallest text, Elizabeth Tower, sits directly next to the larger BIG BEN, highlighting the different names for the same landmark.
