In this digital artwork, Carla Daly replaces rigid borders with a lively collection of cartoon characters and regional icons. The map functions as a visual journey across Germany, populated by a cast of animals that bring a sense of personality and humor to the different territories. Each element is rendered with clean lines and a cheerful palette, making the vast scale of a country feel intimate and approachable.

The vertical composition emphasizes the breadth of the landscape, using the map format as a canvas for storytelling rather than just navigation. By blending the precision of digital art with the warmth of classic children’s illustration, the piece captures the excitement of travel and the joy of exploring new corners of the world through a whimsical, imaginative eye.
