In this portrait-oriented composition, Hearn explores the intersection of the terrestrial and the astronomical. The work centers on smooth, spherical forms that hover with a strange gravity over a parched terrain, suggesting a world where the laws of physics have softened into something more poetic. The vertical alignment emphasizes the height of the sky, drawing the eye upward from the textured ground to the luminous circles that punctuate the atmosphere.

There is a profound stillness in the way these orbs occupy the space, acting as anchors within the vastness of the desert. By stripping away the unnecessary, Hearn focuses on the relationship between simple geometric shapes and the organic irregularities of the natural world. The result is a meditation on scale and presence, inviting a slow observation of how light and form interact in a landscape stripped to its essentials.
