In this piece, the artist challenges the traditional hierarchies of nature by placing fish within the vertical architecture of a woodland setting. The portrait orientation emphasizes the height of the trees, creating a narrow, immersive window into a landscape that feels both familiar and fundamentally altered. By intertwining these two distinct ecosystems, the work suggests a hidden layer of reality where different forms of life coexist in unexpected harmony.

The visual narrative relies on the contrast between the organic textures of the bark and the sleek, darting forms of the fish. There is a quiet stillness to the scene, yet it remains charged with a sense of wonder as the eye follows the upward trajectory of the composition. The arrangement encourages a slow observation of how light and shadow play across these overlapping worlds, grounding the surreal concept in a tangible, earthy atmosphere.
