Art Analysis
From the artist, Linda Carruth
The Summoning is a whimsical abstract depiction of a priestess balancing a sword on her head to summon her clan's god of agriculture. She stands in front of a diagrammatic sundial outside an ancient temple, obscured by an overgrown garden and faded by the passage of time. This is pure abstracted fantasy, presented in burnt reds and golds and greens.
