In this digital illustration, Deificus approaches cartography through a lens of high-contrast minimalism. By isolating the Venetian landmass against a dark, void-like background, the artist emphasizes the intricate, jagged edges where the city meets the lagoon, turning a functional map into a study of shape and negative space. The use of a metallic gold palette suggests the historical opulence of the Venetian Republic without relying on traditional architectural imagery.

The portrait orientation focuses the viewer's attention on the vertical flow of the city’s districts, inviting a sense of travel and discovery through pure geometry. Rather than documenting every bridge and alleyway, the work captures the essential footprint of Venice, treating the urban layout as a piece of organic jewelry set against a deep, matte expanse.
