Art Analysis
A rhythmic collision of saturated pigment and organic motion
In this piece, Flores utilizes the quick-drying nature of acrylic paint to build a complex, interlocking world of saturated hues. The squared orientation anchors the movement, forcing the eye to circle through a thicket of marks that feel both intentional and wildly spontaneous. Every corner of the frame is occupied by a distinct sense of motion, creating a visual density that mimics the chaotic beauty of the natural world.
Rather than leaning on traditional representation, the work relies on the sheer weight of its palette to communicate its message. The colorful application of paint creates a tactile depth, where layers overlap and peek through one another like light filtering through a canopy. It is a study in balance and vibration, capturing a moment of intense, unbridled energy held within a structured geometric boundary.
The work uses a dense, varied palette to create a sense of constant optical movement and life.
The artist builds the composition through a collage method, creating a physical sense of overlapping planes and sharp edges.
The composition avoids literal figures, instead using raw shape and gesture to evoke the feeling of living entities.
